Thanksgiving and Christmas 2012

Thanksgiving 2012

Brian and I hosted Thanksgiving at our house for the first time for my family.  Our holiday was packed full of good food and lots of sweet noise from the kids!  It really is something to see our families grow and we certainly have a lot to be thankful for!

They were actually laughing at the three adults being just as silly as they are trying to get some smiles!

Laney entertaining Everett while acting silly too!

Nothing like a playing in a pile-O-leaves

No matter the temperature, Laney still has to ride the lawn mower with Daddy!

Christmas 2012

This Christmas was truly something special to be a part of.  Laney was filled with the Christmas spirit and she enjoyed every minute of it!  We brought the tradition of Advent into our home this year.  Every day Laney said, "I want to open box Mommy or Daddy."  December 1st Advent sent us on an adventure to buy a real baby Christmas tree for Laney to decorate.  All the other days were filled with candy, baking holiday treats, movie nights, bible reading and a few other little happies that broughts smiles.  Christmas morning brought LOTS of smiles, giggles and LOTS of COOKING AND CLEANING (pictures below explain this further).

Adding her touch to some holiday cookies

Camping out at our first Christmas Parade!  Laney loved it and danced up a storm for all the bands.

Laney didn't know what to play with first!

Commence the cooking!

EVERYBODY had get in the tent!
I have a long to-do list for you Laney...are you ready!?!?

My Dad bought these wooden mail truck coin keeper kits for his future grandkids before they were a twinkle in anyone's eyes.  My wonderfully talented big brother made one for Laney!  It is a special keep sake that will always bring warm memories of my Dad!  I know he is so proud for his grandkids to finally enjoy them.

Fitting to my Dad...the back was outfited with an antique mailbox door and personalized just for Laney.
